Bonnie, a very sharp GodBlogCon 2005 blogger who writes at Off the top and Intellectuelle, has “tagged” me to participate in a new meme. See her own post about it here.
A meme is something like a chain letter that spreads from blogger to blogger until someone starts a new one. Most memes seem to involve lists. This one requires seven answers to seven questions:
- Seven things I’d like to do before I die.
- Seven things I cannot do.
- Seven things that attract me to my wife.
- Seven things I say most often.
- Seven books I love.
- Seven movies I watch over and over again.
- Seven people I want to invite to join this meme.

- her indefatigable sense of humor
- her smile
- a mind that is never still
- her unwavering faith in God
- her wisdom
- she gets lost in parking lots (it brings out the Boy Scout in me)
- strangely, she loves me
Seven things I say most often:
- You’re kidding!
- Whoa, baby!
- Shoot, I reckon.
- I do not think that word means what you think it means.

- Vamos a ver.
- My computer hates me.

Thanks for “playing,” Charlie! Your lists are great. Love the tumbleweed thing.
I forgot about “Amadeus;” that should probably be on my list too. (although the movie’s historical accuracy is disputed, I love the way Mozart’s genius & musicality is portrayed.)
Thanks, Charlie! Actually, this was kind of fun…it was my first “tag.” I’m posting my sevens tomorrow.
We’re Hillerman fans, too. 🙂
Charlie,
Is Grand Canyon the one where different peoples lives intersect – there’s a black guy who helps a white guy whose car breaks down in Ingelwood – and they end up standing looking at the Grand Cnayon at the end? because if it is – I LOVED that movie. I raved about it – it really made me think about how we can follow on from connections or not. Truth be told – it came to mind as I made my own list (as did about 5 other movies).
I can touch weeny little spiders but the big jumping ones get half a can of spray dumped on them pronto.
I love the graphic you have for this post!
Thanks for the tag, Charlie–I’m working on it and will soon post!
