April Stace is a mean harpist and a Cicada enthusiast. This is the year of the Cicada, the seventeenth year when gazillions of the little creatures finally burst from the ground for a short frolic in the trees, buzzing like chainsaws. April thinks this must be evidence of God’s design. I think she’s right, but it may also be evidence of God’s sense of humor. See April’s take on Cicadas in Somebody thinks they’re beautiful.
And if you want to hear some cool harp music, I recommend April’s Harp 46 CD, which I’ve been enjoying now for a few weeks. Jazz harp, with bass and percussion. Very, very fresh. Harp 46.
