The Christian message is truly unique! Imagine strolling through the mall, passing store after store coercing you to enter and buy, disguising their desire for your money with an appealing offer. Then, you pass a store that isn't selling anything! In fact they want to give you what they have at no charge at all! This would be unbelievable. And yet, Christ freely offers us the most important and valuable thing we could ever want and need while other philosophies, traditions, and teachers just quote us a price. Truly, were the price for salvation even fathomable, no one could afford to pay it anyway.

The main reason Jesus came was to take our sins upon himself and pay the price for our redemption. He plainly said that no man took his life. He gave it. He also said he could have called upon the angels to deliver him. He was not a helpless victim, but our glorious Savior.

Because he had no sin of his own, death could not hold him. The resurrection is what sets Jesus apart. Because he lives, we shall live also.

If anyone does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, He loves you and invites you to come to Him. Romans 3:23 tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23 informs us that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. How do we receive the gift of eternal life and come into relationship with Jesus? By realizing we cannot please God or satisfy His standard of righteousness on our own, telling Jesus we believe He came to die for us, ask Him to forgive our sins and commit our lives to Him. This is how the journey begins.

May you come to know the One who loved you so much that He gave His life for you.

Blessings,

I figure that Caiaphas and his contemporaries thought Jesus would be forgotten almost immediately. They probably regretted the unpleasantness of an execution during Passover but were looking forward to things getting back to normal... and getting the curtain in the temple repaired and back up where they liked it.

The story of the resurection probably made them ill.
