I really enjoy La Shawn Barber’s Corner. She’s smart, witty, has a fresh perspective on politics, and best of all, she isn’t shy about talking about her faith in Jesus.
Sure, lots of people talk about their faith in Jesus, but what La Shawn says is always rock solid. I think that’s because she is one of those Christians whose faith is the outworking of some difficult life struggles, in her case alcoholism, and I keep finding that in such people, it’s the Jesus of the New Testament—not some cartoon Jesus—who is obviously at work in their lives.
La Shawn has just posted a great piece on a topic we don’t hear enough about: overcoming temptation, resisting sin. It’s short, practical, and a needed reminder to all of us who want to live with integrity this calling to be like Christ.
