Mark Daniels on immigration, Part 2

In his second post on How Christians Might Think About the Immigration Issue, Pastor Mark Daniels focuses on the biblical concept of justice. In this series of posts, Mark is trying to lay a foundation of principles that will help us approach the immigration debate, and relate to the illegal immigrants themselves in a manner that has integrity from a Scriptural point of view. Mark is more interested in how we think than what we end up doing politically. I think he’s offering some fresh insights that are worth reading. Take a look. His blog is Better Living. (I feel the need to add that Mark is an Ohio State grad who writes like he went to a real college. Go figure.)

Update: Mark Daniels has been burning up his keyboard: How Christians Might Think About the Immigration Issue, Part 3 is already up. This one focuses on the Biblical concept of the alien and our own temporary immigration status here on earth.

  1. Charlie:

I appreciate the continued linking and the kind words.

I laughed when I read your parenthetical comment: “I feel the need to add that Mark is an Ohio State grad who writes like he went to a real college. Go figure..”

In the interest of transparency, I should tell you that I took no composition classes at Ohio State. I was blessed with a fantastic English teacher during my senior year of high school. As a consequence, I proficiency tested out of an entire year of required English course work at Ohio State. That freed me to take other things, like ‘The Poetry of Shakespeare,’ which I duggeth.

Anyway, thanks for the links and the kind words.

    Blessings in Christ,

    Mark
